November 21, 2007 – Mary's Favorite Day (just an FYI-Flowers, chocolate, etc., acceptable celebratory gifts for Mary’s favorite day!) (No Youth Group Meeting)

November 22 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

November 23, 2007 – Day after Thanksgiving Annual Clam Chowder Feast, Movie & Game Night @ Frank & Mary's House! Bring your friends! R.S.V.P. by Sunday, November 18, 2007 to Mary. Time: 6:00 p.m. to mid-night. Cost: FREE!

November 28, 2007 – MANDATORY R.S.V.P. for Christmas Party on December 22, 2007. Cost for you and a guest (eligible for Youth Group attendance) - $30.00 per person.

November 30, 2007 – Craft Night at CHOC! For those of you needing Community Service Hours, this would be a GREAT opportunity to come have some fun, maybe win some prizes & help assemble crafts for children in the hospital. Meet at the church at 5:15 p.m. to depart by 5:30 p.m. for CHOC. You will be back at the church by 11:00 p.m. Cost: FREE!

December 5, 2007 – Youth Group/Parent Vote for Summer Camp – Will it be Pismo, Ponderosa Pines or Hume Lake this year? All students and parents are encouraged to attend this 15 minute vote at 7:00 p.m. Votes by proxy (email or mail) will be added to the tallies on December 5, 2007. See flyer for details.

December 7, 2007 – Operation Christmas Child - Meet at church at 5:30 p.m. Eat dinner before you arrive! Bring several $1 bills for purchasing drinks from the soda/water machines. Will be back at the church by 11:30 p.m. MANDATORY Sign up with Frank (less than 7 spaces left). Cost: FREE

December 19, 2007 – Purchase ticket for “Praise 2008” at Knott’s Berry Farm! Cost: $45/person (doesn’t include food, snacks or souvenirs). Also, let’s make a banner tonight to welcome Jenna home!

December 21, 2007 – The Traveling Jenna returns! Time to be announced – but let’s all go welcome Jenna home from her trip to Australia! Let’s make a banner on December 19th!

December 22, 2007 - Youth Group Christmas Party – 8 a.m. to Midnight. Come to church & bring a change of clothes suitable for hiking, colder weather (i.e., jackets, scarves, ear mufflers???, long pants…no dresses, skirts or shorts please). Bring a wrapped gift for a gift exchange suitable for guy or gal valued $10-$15. Cost: $30.00/person. You MUST RSVP for this event. We need an exact count for planning purposes. Please ask your parents to see either Frank or Mary if they have any questions. See flyer for details.

December 26, 2007 - No Youth Group Meeting (Happy Christmas)

December 31, 2007 - “Praise 2008” New Year’s Eve Celebration. Guests include Hawk Nelson, Aaron Shust, Leeland, and Bob Smiley (among others). Fireworks at midnight. 7pm-1am, Knott’s Berry Farm. Presented in association with Celebration Concerts. Yes! Something Different! Cost: $45/person. Meet at the church at 4:30 p.m. and plan to end at 2:00 a.m. Must purchase spot by Wednesday, December 19, 2007. (This event takes the place of the all-nighter and Magic Mountain Trip, planned previous years.)

January/February – Winter Camp January 11-13 (Cost: $145.00 per/person)

Oh yeah, Frank’s Birthday is January 27th!

February 29-March 2 – Run to the Hills Retreat (rescheduled due to the fires!). Those who signed up the first time, still have a spot reserved for them. You must RSVP by February 6, 2008 if you still want to go. Others who were not be able to attend before, but would like to now, must pay a $50 retreat fee due by February 6, 2008. You will need to take Friday, February 29th off from school as we plan to leave the church parking lot at 12 noon and will return on Sunday at 5 p.m.

March – Hmmm…Mary’s Birthday is the 8th!

April – Planet Wisdom Student Conference “Become More…” April 18-19, 2007 Cost: $40/person

September 26, 2007 – AWANA Opening Night – Ice Cream Social – come one, come all – we are serving ice cream to the AWANA folks! We will meet for a short P&W and Devotional time.

October 3, 2007 – Youth Group Bible Study “Experiencing the Heart of Jesus” by Max Lucado begins! Everyone gets their own study/workbook!

October 5, 2007 – Friday Night Flicks (at the church OR at Hickcox house! Stay tuned…)

October 18-22 – Frank and Mary gone to Youth Workers’ Convention!

October 27, 2007 - PreSchool Harvest Festival! Time of festival – 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. We are slotted to help set up, make posters & run some of the booths! PLAN TO ARRIVE AT 2:00 P.M. TO HELP OUT AND DON’T PLAN ON LEAVING UNTIL 9:00 P.M. SO WE CAN HELP CLEAN UP!!

July 2007 IMPORTANT DATES (really...)

• July 4, 2007 - Happy 4th of July - No Youth Group Meeting
• July 6, 2007 - By Invitation Only - Dinner with the Seniors
• July 11, 2007 - Youth Group (new Summer Hours) 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Many thanks to Pastor Keith for teaching us these past 5 months! Frank is back and ready to get you all "Connecting Your Hearts to Others". Come ready for some sharing, caring & good clean fun (har.har.har...I just kill myself with these mysterious, yet telling, little puns!).
• July 15, 2007 - Church in the Park! Yeah, plan to come & spend time fellowshipping with your Church Family & our Extended Church Family of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
• July 18, 2007 - $$$ Balances due for Pismo! Youth Group Meets at 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• July 20, 2007 - MidMonthMadness - Bonfire at the Beach (details soon!)
• July 25, 2007 - Youth Group Meets! 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pismo Team Competition information handed out (so y'all can get prepared & plan for your week at Pismo).
• July 29, 2007 - Mandatory Parents & Students going to Pismo Meeting at the Church right after the morning worship service.

• August 1, 2007 - 11 days til Pismo! Ugh! NO Youth Group Meeting!
• August 8, 2007 - 4 days til Pismo! Yikes! Youth Group Meets - fun & games & find out which team you are assigned to. Are you a Sly Fox or a Wild Hare? Come & find out and strategize with your new Pismo Team!!!
• August 11, 2007 - Drop off your bags, chairs, sleeping bags & stuff you are taking to Pismo at the Hickcox House - no later than 1 p.m.! (We gotta pack it all!)
• August 12 - August 18 - Pismo Beach Camping Trip (WooHoo!!!)
• August 22, 2007 - Youth Group - 6:30-9:00 p.m. - Fun & Games - Maybe WallyBall!!??
• August 29, 2007 - Youth Group - 6:30-9:00 p.m. - BBQ & Year in Review (adios to Jenna, Megan, Alicia & Vicki...already????)
